The Beauty and the Beast


Stress is often viewed as a symptom that can be managed through relaxation, diet, exercise and time management alone.

Within the therapeutic discipline however, stress is recognised as an important symptom that is caused by many factors. The body and mind are shouting SOS and unless the causes are addressed, the stress is unlikely to be manageable with reactive relaxation efforts alone. It is necessary to understand why we get stressed and this raises the question about what really causes stress. Our lives? Or our reaction to our lives?

The Beauty and the Beast is a half-day course designed to help attendees understand their own behaviours using psychological understanding. It goes beyond 'what is stress?' and 'how do you recognise it?'. It goes beyond ‘breathe’, and recognises that it takes more than simply ‘exercise more’ and ‘eat better’! The Beauty and the Beast workshop offers tried and tested tools which enable change at the deeper level.
